Well as most of you know me and my family moved to the Netherlands's in 2008. Yin and Neah moved in February and I followed in June. We moved into a vacation house just outside the dorp (town) of Uden. Yin is now the breadwinner of the family, working hard at a womens shelter. Neah is working on growing up. Garcia and Chinook are working hard at driving us crazy and protecting us from other dogs, people, small children, the wind, and other noises. And I am working hard on learning a new language, culture, and being the best parent I can be. None of our jobs are easy but that is life, and from life comes stories. An adventure has started, and this blog begins. Hopefully it will keep you updated on our struggles, sucesses and just plain old ordinary life.

Neahs Nuggets
Yin told Neah that she could not do something and Neah responded by saying "stupid monkey" but quickly realizing that she got in troble before for saying that added "lives in trees, eats banannas"
After eating something spicey she asks the question "whats wrong mouth?"
Yin showed Neah a picture of a bear growling at a man and asked her "whats the bear doing" and immidiatly without any concern Neah responds "bear hapje man" (bear has a bite of man)
Passing a field where they are spraying manure, Neah made a face and said; 'eewww, stinky feet!'
Listening to Neah Play out in the living room we heard something fall and Neah in a unhappy voice said "kikker billa" which in dutch means frog butts

lost in translation (or stupid stuff Jesse has done)
reciving a free sample in our laundry soap I look at it and set it aside, it has a baby on the front so I assume it is mild baby laundry soap. A month later I am washing some wool socks and think now is a good time to use that soap, I open it up and wonder why it has that consistancy but shrug it off to another diffrence, something new and proceed to put it on the socks. I am happy to report that my socks no longer have a diper rash.
